Concord,
CA - October 2002 - March Plasma Systems announces the intent
to integrate with Advanced Plasma Systems under the March
name. Production, applications support and contract services
for the printed circuit board (PCB) products will remain in
Florida at the St. Petersburg facility.
APS specializes in the manufacture of plasma treatment systems
used in the fabrication of PCB products; March Plasma Systems
provides similar products specially designed for the semiconductor
industry. With this change, March, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Nordson, now offers a complete range of plasma treatment
systems that address all markets.
According to Peter Bierhuis, President of March Plasma Systems
and APS, "Merging APS into March Plasma Systems allows
us to create a single corporate entity devoted to the plasma
business. Combining our expert teams of scientists and engineers
allows us to leverage our shared technologies into new products
and applications."
March Plasma Systems is the leader in gas plasma technology
for the micro and opto-electronic packaging, PCB and webbed
material industries. Batch systems are available in several
chamber sizes with multiple-shelf configurations to accommodate
magazines, strips, circuit boards, wafer and process carriers.
In-line systems can support multiple substrates or carriers
per run, and are SMEMA-compatible.
