- March Plasma Systems recently named Hirotaka Tanabe
their Senior Applications Engineer for Japan. Based in
the Nordson offices in Tokyo, Mr. Tanabe joins the March
team who provides local support for March customers throughout
Japan. "Mr. Tanabe's well-rounded technical experience
allows us to expand our lab capabilities for existing
and potential customers," explains Terumitsu Tsuji,
March's Japan Business Manager.
Mr. Tanabe has over 6 years of experience working with
plasma technology for DRAM device manufacturing at Micron
Japan. Prior to that, Mr. Tanabe worked for Brooks Automation
Japan, Applied Materials Japan, and Texas Instruments.
He holds a B.D. degree in chemical industrial engineering
from Tokushima University.
The Japan facilities are fully equipped with March plasma
treatment systems for samples testing, customer training,
demonstrations, and applications support. Use of radio-frequency,
low pressure plasma is an efficient, cost-effective and
environmentally friendly method of surface activation
and cleaning during manufacturing processes, improving
reliability and increasing yield in semiconductor and
printed circuit board assembly.
